21 Weeks pregnant....over half way there.

So I am 21 weeks. I am working on my 6th month, which is unbelievable!!! I tried to really show off the bump in these pics and sass it up a bit. Hard to believe that this is the LAST month of my second trimester.
Of course, other things have changed other than just my body physically. The baby can hear my voice and she is just kicking away. She especially likes to kick my bladder at night when I am trying to sleep. I have started to get up repeatedly through the night, not only to use the restroom, but also because I can't get rid of this heartburn. This has to be the worst heartburn ever.

Sammie and I finally agreed on a name right before we found out the sex. Lucy Nicole Meade. I like it because to me its bubbly, cute, but it has a strong meaning. I do want her to be strong and healthy!! And obviously its a girl.

Sammie has been extremely patient with me and loving. It does seem the further along I get the stronger the cravings. He has tried to be patient with that. I think its probably more important to be patient with him about it. Its hard to be prego on a budget.

-Sammie has been busy working on his bike this Memorial Day weekend. He has been needing some "him" time to just relax and do whatever he wants. He has really progressed and got a lot done! He took a couple of days off work so he could work on it and it has been nice having him around.
-Since this is Memorial Day weekend, I would like to thank my husband for sacrificing his time to fight for, not only my freedom, but all of ours. He fought for my freedom, he carried me when I couldn't walk, and he loved me even when I wasn't lovable. (Yea yea sappy, but true)
-Other than that, not a lot is going on. All the animals are being eaten up by fleas and I recently gave them all baths with dishwashing soap. It doesn't even seem to be helping. Henry the cat has turned into an outside cat which is nice because he is a smelly pooper.
-I am so ready to get Lucy's bedroom ready!!! I have gotten so many cute clothes already and I have recently registered at Target and Wal-mart. I thought both of those places are accessible since we live out of town. July 17th is our first baby shower and I am really hoping it will be a success and a lot of fun since its a party too!! Sammie seems to be really excited about it. I got him his, well Lucy's first "Daddy" shirt. You can already see his heart melting!! Lucy is going to have him wrapped around her finger!! If anyone has any recommendations for what I need to register for I would really appreciate it. My wonderful sister-in-law has been a HUGE help, butif anyone else has so recommendations I would appreciate it!! Ta-Ta for Now!!!!!

  1. We're really excited for you guys! Having a child is a ton of work... more work than I ever imagined but definitely worth it.

    Items for your registrar...
-Get a good coffee maker because you're going to be tired.
-Shop for strollers, pick out one that is diverse. You really only need one, no matter what Liz tells you.
-Getting two car seats (one for each vehicle) may sound like a luxury but better than swapping the car seat out all the time.
-Put #2 and #3 nipples on your list. They grow up quick and become very angry if the food isn't coming fast enough.
-I don't know how you plan on feeding your baby but electric breast pumps are better than manuals. I wouldn't normally feel comfortable talking about this type of thing but they're so expensive, it would be better if somebody else bought it for you. Tip for Sammy: Don't ever, EVER be in the room when Mary is pumping... (awkward).
*** Liz bought an electric breast pump (the expensive one) and only used it for two months. I'm not sure what kind of sanitation needs to be done so you don't share boob germs, but I'm sure you could buy new tubes/ boob sucker thingy's and it would be a ton cheaper than buying the whole machine. If you're interested.
-Same as the nipples, register for the next sizes of diapers. Diapers also expensive and they grow into the next size quick.

That should be good for now. Your sister-in-law probably has all these bases covered already. I just wanted to throw in my 2 Cents. I'll give you a dime though if you want it... what?

    Talk to you soon.
