Sammie and I have been married for THREE years!!!

Well this past weekend, Sammie and I celebrated our third year anniversary. We usually don't make our anniversary a big deal, but this year Sammie surprised me with a dinner at Wasabi and a beautiful bracelet from Elegant Diamonds. It was absolutely wonderful! I felt almost relieved when we hit this day because this year, out of all the years, has been the hardest. At least the beginning part of this year was the hardest. It was really touch and go, and we almost didn't make it. It felt so good (and meaningful) to celebrate this anniversary because both of us are really blessed to be with each other. We really had to choose each other again this year rather than going our separate ways and when I look at Sammie I definitely don't want to be with anybody else.

Anyways, as you all know, Sammie and I give our Christmas gifts early. I got a camera, but Sammie this year got a bottle of Utopias. This is actually a very rare beer that is only sold every two years. Of course getting this bottle was really hard because its illegal in Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama, and Arkansas. I called all the places in Kentucky and all the places in Missouri. Luckily we were able to find one bottle in St.Louis and another bottle in Massachusetts near where his Grandparents live. We wanted two bottles so that we could give one to our best friend Chris. Anyways, I hope everyone is doing well! Ta-Ta for now!

More Pictures of Clyde....

So Sammie requested more photos of clyde. He is our lil...wait...BIG baby. We found this little wonder on craigslist and purchased him for 30 dollars! What a deal!! He is a St.Bernard/coon hound mix. Well they said he was coon hound, but those eyes look more like a bloodhound. The last time we took him to the vet he weighed in at 95 lbs. He definately still has more growing to do because his paws are more like bear claws and his head is HUGE!!
Just so you can get an idea as to how small he was when we bought him, here are a couple of pictures of him when he was little.

And now he is all grown up!! I mean seriously!! Look at those paws now!!

I thought that this was a wonderful picture since I was able to capture ALL four dogs!!! This is usually not possible, because they are all hyper and untrained dogs or just want whatever we have in our hands to get them to sit. Luckily, this time it worked, but I had to work fast!

He is so funny! His lips are so floppy that, when he shakes his head, they practically hit the top of his head. Don't let this giant fool you. He is the biggest baby you will ever see. He whines, he is scared of an inflatable inner-tube, he is scared of clapping, he panics when it is cold outside(it actually sounds like he is about to bust thru the door), and much, much more. He also snores and gets the muddiest out of all the dogs. Anyways, Ta-Ta for now.

When Life Gives You Lemons....

Life can be sooo depressing. It can really get people down! So today I watched a show called a "Baby Story" and ,as some of you might not know, Sammie and I are trying to have a baby. Yea. WRONG show to watch. Well it upset me of course and I started feeling sorry for myself. Go figure. Anyhoo, as I was sitting there crying and whining cause I can't have what I want, butter came over to me and put her nose against mine and just looked at me. It made me giggle. I couldn't help it. After that I was reminded of the really good things that I have in my life. Like my husband, our animals, and just family in general. I don't want people to feel sorry for me. It will happen one day, but for right now I have these funny animals and these funny pics for everyone to enjoy!!!
This is a lil weird isn't it?

Simba started to sleep under the bed. I thought it was absolutely hilarious when I was trying to find him and couldn't find him. When I finally found him it was just too cute. Tobi and Henry also apparently like to sleep together. A little weird for me, but to each his own.
Anyways, I am looking forward to having my parents come and stay with us this weekend. Sammie's grandparents are also coming into town, so it should be a pretty busy weekend. Ever since I was little, my family and I have had a tradition where we go and look at all the Christmas lights in our neighborhood. The Christmas lights in Lebanon are absolutely beautiful and I love the fact that, even though I don't live in Memphis anymore, we can still keep the tradition alive today.

The tale of the fallen down tree cont'd.......

Sooo this is the tree that fell down on the otherside of our fence. Our friend Chris came up this weekend and he volunteered to help us cut it up into tiny pieces with his chain saw. So above you see sammie loading up the logs and below is the tree!!

That's chris and sammie cutting off the branches that fell on our fence.

And of course I had to get in on the fun!!!

This is the rest of the tree still standing....

Chris doing all the grunt work....Sammie is more of a supervisor...; )jk

I usually enjoy lazy sundays, but today just wasn't one of those. As you can tell that tree is huge and as I am sittin' on my butt writing this, the boys are still outside cutting up the tree. I guess I will go help! Enjoy the pics!!

Craaaazy WIND!!!!

Is anybody else having issues with strong harsh winds? Sammie and I had such a hard time sleeping last night, but we obviously slept well enough that we didn't hear the tree in our backyard fall down!

This isn't even half of the tree and yes those are the branches on our fence! We also saw that a tree had fallen on three cars just down from us!

Since Sammie called in sick today, we decided to take little Roma back to the store. Not because we didn't like her, but because she is sick. We noticed when we got her that she was sneezing, but we just hoped that she would get better. She didn't. So today we took her back to the pet store and they actually have a procedure where we could treat her without it costing us anything. We are really hoping to bring her home soon. We definately have gotten attached to her.

Welcome Little Roma!

Despite having four dogs, and three cats, Sammie and I decided to get a rat. I personally never thought I would have a rat. I mean, I have had hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils, rabbits, snakes, and lizards growing up, but I have never had a rat.

Anyways, in our house it has become a tradition for Christmas to come early. This year, I recieved a new camera and along with that camera I decided to start a blog. We have had one before, but "you know who" was bad at keeping it updated and I am determined to keep this one up. I think having a newer and better camera will help. Don't worry this blog isn't just about our animals, but about us too. I am also really hoping to keep everyone updated on things going on in our lives and not just our animals. So keep your eye out!
