Today is the day.....

Thats right. Today is the Day. It is Fire Day. Today is the day where rednecks come together and light all the wood they have been collecting for a year, on fire. Of course, the rednecks I am speaking of is sammie and me.

What you are looking at above is said wood piled in the back of our yard. As you can tell its alot of wood. Sammie was so excited about setting fire to this small hut, that he woke up like it was Christmas. In fact, He woke me up too with "Mary, Its Fire Day!!!"

What you see below is Sammie lighting the fire. I wanted to specifically put this one on here so that you could get the full redneck ensemble.

So, of course we could light such a huge pile of would with a little lighter and paper. Instead, we used two fire logs and paper.
Above: Sammie and the baby fire.
Below: Is the dry brush setting on fire. This begins the fire of all fires.

The fire is gradually growing, until finally the two fires you see above unite as one.

And finally, the biggest fire known to man. At least the biggest fire known to the Meade's.

14 weeks and 3 days preggo and Sammies Bday!!!

So I am finally updating our blog. Thought it was a good time. (Please forgive the watermarks on the mirror). I am 14 weeks preggo now and I feel huge. After losing almost ten pounds or so and still haven't really gained anymore weight, but haven't lost anymore either. My morning sickness is sooo much better. It doesn't happen everyday, but it still happens every once in a while. I have more energy, but I can go take a nap anytime of the day. I'm just really excited that I can eat again. No more food aversions and no real cravings, except for coke icees....YUM! I think the only thing that has recently changed (and isn't suppose to happen till later) is that fact that I pee all the time. I mean I never woke up in the middle of the night needing to pee, now I wake up 2 or 3 times.

Sammie has been absolutely amazing so far. Very loving and supportive and has only made me cry once. LOL! Yea thats definately another change...I can cry if someone asks me too. I am not a real cryer either...don't like it, never have, but I can do it allll the time now. Anyways back to sammie, everytime I ask for something I am craving he buys it for me and during the first trimester we ALWAYS ate where I wanted to eat. He has helped me get the house clean, like cleaning the litter boxes out. He has definately been a trooper. I can only hope I don't/didn't complain to much. He has so much on him, and I don't want to be one of those women that brings him down. He works hard and I don't want him coming home to a woman that complains all the time.

Now for Sammie's Bday....

So this past weekend we went to Mississippi. It was a blast!!! Sammie just turned 27 years old and we got a lot of funny pictures! Its always good to see Chris. He is one of our bestfriends and to be honest with you, he is more like a brother. We have asked him to be the God-father of our child, thats how awesome we think he is!; ) Anyways, Sammie was just going to work on his bike all weekend and when he got home from work he told me that Chris had invited us down there. I have to say I have never seen men have withdrawals from another person, but these two brothers do!! So we decided, at the last minute, to drive down there and spend the weekend with him and his girlfriend. So fun! Ta-ta for now!
